Southern Kings Arts Council Has A NEW Facebook Fan Page!

2012 meeting dates are June 19th, September 18th and December 18th, 2012. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. in the downstairs boardroom at the Active Communities  Inc. (Rural Action Center) building Main Street, Montague.

Karl MacKeeman Work Featured At Montague Gallery

Karl MacKeeman
"ARTSpace East, located in the Centre for Performing ARTS, 239 Valleyfield Road, in Montague is featuring the artistic works of Karl MacKeeman through to the end of June. This collective work can be seen daily from noon to 6pm at the gallery.
Karl MacKeeman is originally from Kings County, his family having moved to Montague from Halifax, where his father ran the local barber shop on Main Street and his mother worked at the Kings County Memorial Hospital. Mr MacKeeman showed an interest in art at a very early age, all throughout his school years, and later pursued secondary education graduating from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) in 1972 majoring in painting and print making (etching and lithography)."

Southern Kings Arts Council Notice of Annual Meeting 2012


Please let your friends know about the annual meeting. We look forward to having you join us if you can.
The Council is a valuable advocate and funding partner for artisans in our area. Membership is a mere $5.00 per year. We have supported a number of artists and authors in the past and we would like to continue to support more in future. With your membership our voice and ability to support becomes even stronger.

We look forward to providing our support for your arts project. You can help by coming to the annual meeting and investing $5.00 in an annual membership. Together we are stronger...
